“The Black Crown Journey” was launched as a collaborative artistic project between the world-renowned musician Naseer Shamma and the internationally acclaimed Iraqi designer and writer Nihad Wathiq Al-Samarrai, in what critics described as “a global legend in the world of fashion and couture.”
The journey began in The World Islands – Dubai on June 11 with an exclusive dinner, followed by a grand fashion show on June 15 at Agenda Hall – Dubai. The journey continues with an Arab and international tour including Alamein – Egypt, London, Moscow, Paris, Milan, and will conclude in Baghdad – Dar Al-Salam, the gateway of the world and the cradle of civilizations.

An Artistic Legend Embodying Royal Luxury

Nihad Wathiq presented 70 unique designs in this show, all inspired by the paintings of musician Naseer Shamma, which were previously displayed in his first art exhibition “Vision and Life” in Abu Dhabi – UAE.
The paintings were transformed into fabrics, fashion pieces, furniture, and jewelry—each one inspired by aristocratic artistic visions blending authenticity with the soul of modernity.

The Grand Finale in Baghdad

The tour’s final and most anticipated destination is Baghdad, where 101 artistic designs will be showcased during a grand evening on Friday, October 1. This event will be preceded by a private dinner attended by a select group of Iraqi intellectuals and media figures.
The official fashion show, set for October 3, is expected to be the most extravagant and distinguished in the history of fashion shows in Iraq and the region.

Choreographed to the Rhythm of Music

In this show, Naseer Shamma provided a fully integrated artistic vision. He designed the stage scene, directed the models’ presentation, and supervised the entire project artistically. His touch transformed the show into a global spectacle of elegance, where fashion was unveiled in a mesmerizing and contemporary setting.
The event was executed through a collaboration between Fashion Factor and Crown Circle, two leading international haute couture production companies, with a professional fashion design team based in Dubai.

Diverse Designs Inspired by Eastern Cultures with a Contemporary Iraqi Vision

The collection featured a wide variety of pieces fusing Eastern luxury with modern elegance, including:

A special men’s outfit was designed, blending elements of Islamic Arab and Kurdish fashion in a fusion that reflects the diversity of Iraqi identity through a unified vision, with versatile designs and refined colors.

The fabrics were produced using advanced techniques under the supervision of textile expert Mr. Yasser Al-Bair, one of the top names in high-end fabric production.
His group (Yasser & Mayassa) operates factories in Baghdad, Japan, Canada, and China, and is one of the major suppliers of luxury materials to the Iraqi market.
